Fenya & Menya:Fenya and Menya were two Jotun girls according to Danish Oral Stories. They were servants for King Frode. The King ordered them to work on a kind of grinder, which was able to create gold and good times. The grinder was called Grotte. The two sisters once got tired of working as servants for the abusive king, and called forth a sea king with an army to destroy King Frode. The Sea King only traded with salt though, so he took the two sisters and the grinder Grotte aboard on his ship, and got the sisters to create salt with Grotte instead. This ended up with sinking the ship due to overweight from salt, and the two Jotun girls went to be the two islands Fanø and Mandø in Denmark.
Grotte lies now, on the ocean floor and grinds salt - which is why the sea is salty.
